London Summer Institute students have full and busy daily schedules. The typical weekday routine for EPGY begins with breakfast in a dining hall, followed by morning classes. The courses are taught in classrooms or in computer labs, and are followed by lunch. The students then return for a study or workshop session either in residential common areas or again in the classrooms. These sessions usually consist of one-on-one conferences, small group discussion sessions, projects, labs, or independent work.
The late afternoon is filled with a variety of cultural and recreational activities, which allow students to get to know other EPGY students. After dinner, there is another opportunity for continued work on course assignments, free time, recreational activities, or special events. Students are required to be in their residences at the scheduled curfew, and in their beds for lights-out, in order to get enough rest for the next busy EPGY day.
On weekends and selected weekdays students are taken by chartered bus on excursions to points of cultural, historical, or recreational interest surrounding the local area.
