In addition to regular Residential Counselor duties, head counselors have the following responsibilities:

• A higher level of responsibility in supervising students. Situations may include health and discipline issues, or anything that may arise with respect to the residential life of the EPGY students
• This position requires supervision of the other counselors in the residence. This includes coordinating their schedules, helping to make sure they tend to the duties that they are assigned, and ensuring sufficient staffing for the range of counselor duties.
• Head counselors will also be the residence's foremost liaison with parents, higher level EPGY staff, and other University offices.

Qualifications: Previous summer camp experience required, preferably with EPGY or a similar program. One or more years experience as a trained Residential Assistant at a college or university desired. Proven ability to supervise others and comfort with higher responsibility required, including enforcing rules and making decisions.

Salary: The standard salary for Head counselors is $675/week plus a full room and board package. Airfare is included for international programs.
