Tomohiro Hoshi

Core Instructor

Dr. Hoshi received his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Tokyo in Japan, after which he did his graduate studies in the United States. He earned an M.A. in Philosophy at Texas A&M and received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Stanford University. His publications have focused mainly on logic, and were written in collaboration with scholars from various disciplines, including philosophy, computer science, and mathematics.

Before Dr. Hoshi became a part of the EPGY OHS community as a Core Instructor last year, he had taught philosophy courses at Texas A&M and Blinn College. This year, he will be teaching two Core courses at the EPGY OHS: History of Science and Methodology of Science. He will also teach logic courses in the Department of Philosophy at Stanford University.

Dr. Hoshi loves cooking. Back in Tokyo, he worked as a cook for four years. His favorite foods are Italian, Korean and Japanese.
