Stanford Math Circle

Engage challenging math problems with enthusiastic peers and instructors.

Guided by mathematicians and educators, the Stanford Math Circle offers quarter-long, after-school sessions for students interested in math currently in elementary, middle, or high school. The weekly meetings take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays and allow students to supplement their schoolwork and love of math with rigorous, extracurricular math engagement through group work.

All Stanford Math Circle classes will be held online.

What is an enrichment "Circle"?

Circles are weekly gatherings that follow a model of education that emphasizes discussion and group problem solving. Our enrichment circles are evening after-school programs that are meant to supplement students' schoolwork and help students develop the creative and critical problem solving that drives developments in a given field.

Students from any geographic location are welcome to enroll in the online classes. Students are expected to attend all live online classes, and should only register for sections that are appropriate for their schedule and time zone.
