The EPGY AP English Language and Composition Course prepares experienced
writing students to take the Advanced Placement examination in that topic.
The course concentrates on critical reading, analysis of rhetoric, and
analysis and construction of argument. Each quarter may be taken as a
separate course, but for students wishing to take the AP exam the full
three-quarter sequence is strongly recommended. Placement into these
courses is contingent on review of a student writing sample.
