The course concentrates on critical reading, analysis of rhetoric, and analysis and construction of argument. Each quarter may be taken as a separate course, but for students wishing to take the AP exam the full three-quarter sequence is strongly recommended. Placement into these courses is contingent on review of a student writing sample.
